Communications and Marketing Specialist - Full Time Salary

The Communications and Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communication strategies to boost member engagement and promote club activities. This role focuses on social media content creation, event promotion, internal communication, and maintaining consistent branding across all platforms. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and enthusiastic about building vibrant member experiences.

 
Key Responsibilities:

       Marketing & Communications:
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote member engagement and club activities.
  • Create and manage engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and the club website.
  • Design promotional materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to gather and consolidate content.
  • Maintain consistent branding and communication across all platforms.
  • Monitor and respond to member interactions on social media.
       Member Services Support:
  • Assist at the Member Services front desk for two shifts per week, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Provide general member services, including handling reservations and offering technical assistance when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong social media management and content creation skills (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar).
  • Photography & Video Editing Skills: Experience with photography and video editing for digital platforms (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, or similar)
  • Website Content Management: Experience managing and updating website content.
  • Email Marketing Platforms:  Proficiency in email marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or club-specific platforms like Jonas
  • Analytics & Reporting: Ability to interpret marketing performance data and generate reports to inform content strategy (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Customer service experience is an asset, especially in hospitality or club settings.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications, or event promotion is an asset.
  • Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and basic technical troubleshooting.

Catering & Events Manager - Full-Time Position

Position Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Catering & Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of both in-house member events and external bookings.

Reporting to the Clubhouse Manager, the Catering Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of private event bookings, including weddings, milestone celebrations, corporate meetings, and club-led member functions. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and execute a wide range of events including member functions, weddings, celebrations, and corporate events
  • Act as the primary point of contact for members and clients throughout the planning process
  • Prepare detailed event orders, floor plans, and timelines for internal teams
  • Collaborate with culinary, service, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Conduct site visits, client meetings, and tastings as required
  • Maximize space usage while maintaining a high standard of service and member priority
  • Hire, train, supervise and motivate staff
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote event offerings and seasonal catering packages
  • Develop and implement targeted marketing initiatives to grow private event bookings and increase catering sales
  • Identify seasonal opportunities, market trends, and member needs to create compelling packages and promotions that drive revenue.
  • Establish a structured referral program to engage members and clients and implement a post-event feedback and follow-up system to assess satisfaction, build long-term relationships, and generate repeat business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with members, vendors, and partners
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in catering, events, or banquet coordination (preferably in a private club, hotel, or hospitality setting)
  • Proven success managing multiple events simultaneously with a high level of organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills
  • Proficient in catering/event software systems
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Smart Serve certified (or willing to obtain)
